How USPI helps with a residence card in Bydgoszcz
Consultation and legal-basis check — work, business, studies, family, permanent residence card or EU long-term resident; which documents are needed in your case.
Application (wniosek) and załącznik nr 1 — filled in correctly to avoid formal errors and returns.
Document set — we check the contract, insurance, proof of accommodation and income, sworn translations.
Filing at the office — help with booking and accompaniment at filing; communication with the office in Polish.
Correspondence with the inspector — we prepare replies to wezwania (requests to supplement documents) within the deadline.
Deadline control — if the office exceeds the KPA deadlines, we prepare a ponaglenie.
Only the voivode decides whether to issue the card: no private company can guarantee a positive decision or influence processing time. The detailed procedure is in our guide “How to apply for a karta pobytu in Poland”.
Documents for a residence card (basic list)
application (wniosek) in two copies and załącznik nr 1 from the employer — for a work-based card;
4 recent photos, a copy of all passport pages;
proof of the legal basis: employment contract, company documents, certificate from the school or family documents;
health insurance (ZUS or private), proof of stable income and place of residence;
proof of payment of the state fee (opłata skarbowa) — paid by the applicant.
The exact list depends on the legal basis and the requirements of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie office — we prepare it individually at the consultation.
Processing times in Bydgoszcz
The Administrative Procedure Code (KPA) sets formal deadlines, but in practice voivodeship offices take months — it depends on the workload of the specific office and the completeness of the file. Your stay in Poland is legal while the case is pending (passport stamp). If deadlines are breached, the applicant may file a ponaglenie — how it works.
